Yoga

  • Yoga helps children improve focus, reduce stress, build emotional regulation skills, and increase strength and flexibility—all while having fun!

  • We blend mindfulness, music, and leadership lessons into each session. Our instructors are trained in child development practices to ensure a safe and supportive space for all learners. Our family yoga classes include:

    • Sensory play and bonding (ages 0–2): Bonding through gentle movement, music, and sensory play

    • Storytime Yoga (ages 2–4): Imaginative yoga built around books and songs

    • Mindfulness & Movement Yoga (ages 4–10): Partner poses, breathwork, and confidence-building sequences

    All classes focus on age-appropriate mindfulness, body awareness, and emotional expression through play and movement.

  • Yes! Our Mommy and Me Yoga in Charlotte is a favorite for parents and caregivers of young children (0–2 yrs). We also offer Family Yoga classes that bring all ages together for breathwork, movement, and bonding.

  • Comfortable clothes, a water bottle, and a yoga mat (if they have one—mats can also be provided).

  • Yes! We offer customized sessions for individuals, families, and pods. Reach out for scheduling and rates.

Tutoring Services

  • We work with children in Pre-K through early elementary (rising 4th grade), tailoring instruction to meet each learner’s needs.

  • We focus on early literacy and/or foundational math skills, with an emphasis on phonics, fluency, comprehension, and number sense. It all depends in your preference and your child’s needs. All PREK-2 tutors are Orton-Gillingham trained and tailor each session to meet your child’s learning style and pace.

  • Tutoring takes place in person, typically at a mutually agreed-upon location such as a local library, studio, or your home. We are currently serving students in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding areas.

  • Yes! We support both in-person and online tutoring to meet your family’s needs and schedule.

  • Yes! We have small group sessions for kids learning the same skills. If you have a group of up to 4 children in your neighborhood or your child's class, we can accommodate them! Just reach out to us!

  • Sessions run 40 minutes

  • Our approach uses research-based methods like the Science of Reading for literacy and hands-on visual techniques for math. Each session is personalized with games, movement, and multi-sensory activities to make learning fun and effective. Tutors at Rockstar Leaders are trained in the IMSE-Orton Gillingham approach, designed for students with dyslexia but beneficial for all learners, enhancing reading and writing skills for every child.

  • Please provide 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling to accommodate all students. Without notice, a charge for the session will apply.

  • Absolutely! Our tutoring programs include Kindergarten readiness, back-to-school prep, and support for transitions across grade levels with a focus on emotional and academic readiness.

  • At this time, our tutoring teaching teams are full. We’re not currently hiring new tutors, but we’d love to stay connected! Please check back for future opportunities—we’ll post updates here as openings arise.

Getting Started


  • Visit our Yoga or Tutoring page to browse upcoming classes, family yoga events, or book a 1:1 tutoring session. You can sign up directly online or contact us to build a custom plan.

  • We kindly ask for 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule tutoring or yoga sessions. Life happens—we’ll work with you to find a new time if needed.
